"In May of this year my group and I had the pleasure of staying at Buffalo Camp just out side of the north western edge of the Serengeti. This is a most unusual luxury tented camp complete with a stunning lounge and bar. The rooms are Architectural Digest stunning. The staff were all outstanding, especially Nicky the camp manager.  Everything was done to make our stay a special experience.  The night game drives (not possible inside the park) were a marvelous experience as were the sundowners (drinks) on the edge of a mountain while watching the sun go down. "A highlight of our trip was a four hour hike with three Maasai warriors. They showed us how to chew Acacia bark when our mouths got dry, and they made a fire for us from two pieces of wood. I have the two pieces of wood hanging in my home. Also, on that hike, I saw some of the most beautiful scenery of my life. We saw zebra several times, and we saw and briefly talked with six Massai boys who were living in the bush as part of their maturation process."
